Our story
NusaTrails runs private trips across Java: Ijen, Bromo, Tumpak Sewu and Sukamade in East Java, plus Borobudur, Prambanan and the Jomblang and Pindul caves near Yogyakarta. We pick you up from Bali, Surabaya or Yogyakarta.
NusaTrails was started by local East Java mountain guides and road travelers born and raised in the shadow of Mount Ijen and Mount Bromo. What began as showing friends and adventurous travelers around the sulfur craters and hidden waterfalls grew into a dedicated private travel operator committed to safe, comfortable, and deeply authentic overland journeys.
What makes our trips different is our focus on genuine small-group travel: no crowded buses, no rigid commercial timetables, and transparent pricing. Every itinerary is led by experienced local drivers and certified mountain guides who treat you like guests in their home region.

Trips are for 2 to 4 people with your own car and driver. No big crowds, and the pace is yours.
Private English-speaking guide
Your guide walks every trail with you, explains the route and safety, and takes your photos.
Everything arranged
Transport, entrance fees, stay with breakfast, the Bromo jeep, Ijen equipment and water are included.
Pick-up from Bali, Surabaya or Yogyakarta
No need to plan the long drive to the mountains. We collect you from your hotel and drop you at the end.
