Day 1

Bali to Banyuwangi City | Island Crossing & Scenic Journey

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Bali at the agreed departure time. Pick-up is available from various areas, including Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Ubud, Denpasar, and other locations upon arrangement.

We will travel across the island toward Gilimanuk Harbour in West Bali. Along the way, enjoy views of traditional Balinese villages, tropical greenery, coastal landscapes, and local communities as we make our way to the western tip of the island.

Estimated driving times to Gilimanuk Harbour:

Denpasar, Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak & Canggu: approximately 4.5–5 hours
Jimbaran, Nusa Dua & Uluwatu: approximately 5–5.5 hours
Ubud: approximately 4 hours
Lovina & North Bali: approximately 2 hours

Travel times may vary depending on your pick-up location, traffic, and road conditions.

Upon reaching Gilimanuk Harbour, we will board the ferry for the crossing to Ketapang Harbour in Banyuwangi, East Java. The ferry journey generally takes around one hour, depending on sailing conditions and port operations.

After arriving in Java, we will continue to your accommodation in Banyuwangi City. Complete the check-in process, settle into your room, and enjoy some free time to relax after the journey.

Get a good night's rest, as the following day takes you away from the city and into the remote wilderness of Meru Betiri National Park.

Overnight: Hotel in Banyuwangi City

Day 2

Banyuwangi to Sukamade | Into the Heart of Meru Betiri

An Off-Road Expedition Through Plantations & Tropical Rainforest

After preparing for the day, we will depart from Banyuwangi City and begin our journey toward Sukamade, a remote coastal destination surrounded by the natural landscapes of Meru Betiri National Park.

The adventure continues aboard a rugged 4WD vehicle, taking you beyond the usual tourist routes. As we leave the city behind, the scenery changes to rural settlements, expansive cocoa plantations, and rubber estates before gradually entering the dense tropical forest.

Along the way, experience the excitement of navigating winding jungle tracks, uneven roads, and river crossings where conditions permit. The route offers a glimpse into the area's untouched natural environment, with lush vegetation and fresh forest air accompanying the journey.

Upon arrival in Sukamade, we will check in at a simple eco-lodge and take some time to unwind. Enjoy a local dinner before preparing for the evening's main activity.

Night Excursion – Sea Turtle Nesting Experience

After dark, join a guided visit to Sukamade Beach, an important nesting habitat for sea turtles. Accompanied by a local guide, you will learn about the turtles' nesting behavior and conservation efforts carried out in the area.

If conditions are favorable and turtles come ashore, you may have the opportunity to witness a female sea turtle laying her eggs in its natural habitat. The experience offers a rare glimpse into the wildlife of Banyuwangi's southern coast and the importance of protecting endangered marine species.

To minimize disturbance, visitors must follow the guide's instructions regarding lighting, noise, movement, and photography. Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

After the excursion, return to the eco-lodge and enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Overnight: Sukamade Eco-Lodge

Day 3

Baby Turtle Release, Pulau Merah & Return to Banyuwangi

A Meaningful Wildlife Encounter Followed by Coastal Exploration

Begin the morning in the peaceful surroundings of Sukamade, where the forest meets the coastline.

Morning Activity – Baby Sea Turtle Release

When hatchlings are available and a release session is scheduled, take part in a supervised conservation activity by helping baby sea turtles, locally known as tukik, begin their journey toward the ocean.

Watching these tiny creatures make their way across the sand is a memorable experience that highlights the importance of preserving marine wildlife and protecting their natural habitats.

Please note that the release activity depends on hatchling availability, conservation schedules, weather, and local regulations.

After the activity, return to the lodge for breakfast, pack your belongings, and check out before continuing the journey.

Late Morning to Afternoon – Discover Pulau Merah (Red Island)

We will leave Sukamade and travel toward Pulau Merah, a popular coastal destination known for its broad sandy beach, scenic ocean views, and distinctive reddish hill near the shoreline.

Upon arrival, enjoy free time to explore the beach, relax by the sea, or capture photographs of the surrounding coastal scenery. For those interested in surfing, surfboard rental is included in the package, subject to availability and suitable sea conditions.

Whether you choose to try the waves or simply enjoy the relaxed beach atmosphere, Pulau Merah provides a wonderful final stop after the adventure through the jungle.

Please follow local safety guidance before entering the water, as wave and current conditions can vary.

Afternoon – Transfer to Your Drop-off Point in Banyuwangi City

After enjoying Pulau Merah, we will begin the return journey to Banyuwangi City. Sit back and enjoy the final stretch of the trip as we travel through the countryside toward the city.

Your tour concludes with a drop-off at your preferred location within the Banyuwangi service area. Available drop-off points include:
